Isn't that the pointlimit the missions show you? Like 100 out of 4000 means there are 4000 points reachable max in the previous mission?

Mirage maps can only be opened in the Mirage SDK (same for CEP and Boosterpack).

Right click on file in windows explorer, open properties, and uncheck read-only?

You could disable write protection. You will have to, when fixing stuff like not wanting the burning buildings, since this info is stored in the seq file.

It's Newsticker I think. I think it's supposed to display a message on the top right (where the dialogue and game messages appear). Not sure it's working out of the box - the devs usually use Dialog Scenes for text. It might have just been for debugging/testing and needs to be enabled in the setting...

Hi! You can open the cutscene files and most missions and edit them, but it's very error-prone and you need to be careful.
As for why they did it: Cinematic Effect
It just looks cooler having the already destroyed base still burning as a backdrop to the heroes talking.

You can view the running version on the bottom while in the options menu I think. If you use the wrong shortcut or the autorun you can easily end up starting 2 different version. Always compare the versions shown in the options menu.

Also make sure you are both running exactly the same version of the game. Maybe one of you is running boosterpack and the other one not (or hasn't even patched the game)?

Manchmal entsteht sowas wenn der Wald daneben abgeholzt wird. Aber ja, die KI ist sehr schlecht im Setzen von Mauern. Ist aber auch für menschliche Spieler manchmal gar nicht so einfach.

HTTPS standard port is 443. You can also connect on standard HTTP (Port 80). You do not need any port forwarding to access websites.
