Chapter 14!

No matter what I do, I can't seem to win this one. Even if I can hold my own against the forces coming by land, sooner or later they start attacking me from the sea too. Either way, I get overrun before I can gather enough forces to keep myself alive (let alone rescue any prisoners). Those SEAS units are overpowered as hell...

Hi Devonian, this is a tougher one. It's vital to destroy the S.E.A.S. carriers to the west as they spam units to your position. Don't get angry ;) All missions in the game can be finished (even on hard dificulty) with the right tactic

Welcome to the boards, Devonian

With the wrong tribe the mission is really hard, independent of the difficulty you choose. I tried it with the Norsemen about 7 times and failed always, until I succeeded with the Dustriders at my first try. Take them and eliminate the SEAS' base on the small island, it's a nice place for a Dustrider base (they have the smallest buildings). Four catamarans can be a really big help.

is this the one where you have to defend the Holy City walls? i thought you only had one tribe that you could have? anyway i find it very hard their machines are tough especially as they start at high level

ok i'm on that one now realy is super hard trying to go anyware when they keep sending the exo enforcers i meen how can they be just level 2 with that much HP, all my units end up getting killed with just that tiny seas army

haven't had time to come up with an army as i get beaten just getting into epoch 3 so don't have time fo braco's i will have to replay and find someway to counter Executioners with only level 2 units :|

perhaps for experianced players like yourself Tric but not all are as fast yet

did it finally without cheats

ok instead of using the clearing next to the seas as the base, use that bit of beach you start off in that way you limit the attacks from one direction instead of land and sea have a small foraging party to collect stone (usually the sseas will ignore it) get Taslow all yhe way to level 5 you will need his towers for defence and the level 5 bonus to get stone from seas buildings. kill off the 2 carriers and harrass the island prison with catamarans till you have built up an army and destroyed the first prison it was pretty easy after that

This was not intended to be an offense :mrgreen: (and I'm not good at playing DR at all) Just wanted to tease you a bit and to say "It's possible................ somehow" :wink:

Could you make a screenshot of the minimap? Do you mean the beach where you get attacked from the SEAS prison island or south of that?

i meen the bit right at the start that is south of the first prison, its small but you can just about get 3 tents and a dino farm on there and then build wall and towers along the small pasageway leading to the first prison.this makes it so the enemy can only atack you from one direction.

Then have a small foraging party for stone and the fruit bushes on the beach
next to the seas prison, but once you clear the prison island then use that instead as you don't get attacked then.

Nice solution.
I usually did it like that: Creep enough resources for Epoch 4, if the enemies come, put everything in three transport turtles and go somewhere else to creep. Then build some tents, four catamarans and take the tents down. Turtles with staff onboard can be with the harbour on sea, and the catas take down the island prison. I love the Dustriders, it's so smooth that you can just put them onto the sea and your enemies have no chance. Five cronos bash away the submarines easily, if you want some protection, build them. They are quite useful.

I would rely on Dragon Clan, they specialize in long-range combat, stealth, traps, and explosives. :D Although I don't know how the dynamite works.

The Dragon Clan is the worst choice for this mission. ;) It takes too long to get those good fighters, so they get owned by the SEAS' strong troops.

I wouldn't say that... there have been so many times I thought I would not make a mission (some took many tries, especially the later ones), but with help from others (forums, walkthroughs) or using different stratrgies there is always a way to do it

hated the DR Valhalla mission the most...

again another mission wherei chose an unouthodox place to build my main base :lol: for the valhalla mission the open clearing where the norseman were was too exposed so i decided on building right at the bottom to the south east as again it was easily defendable and i had plenty of resources. For some reason DR work best in confined spaces, their walls aren't strong enough for large areas but if you can get a narrow gully thats just wide enough to put a gate in then put Taslow towers round it and you can hold off most attacks pretty well

just trying to do mission 15 now those huge seas cannons are deadly but once i take out the 2 bases ether side of the mainland then restock my units it shouldn'yt be too hard destroying the main base just got to find some way to take out the artilery

That mission really is annoying, with all the gates and the cannons. The Cannon takes a while to reload, so that shouldn't be a problem, just the troops.
